A deliciously creamy dish combining tender chicken, rich flavors, and cheesy tortellini, all made effortlessly in your slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts or tenderloins
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 19 ounces frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan

Instructions

  1. In your slow cooker, add the chicken, heavy cream, butter, and chicken broth.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and black pepper for added flavor.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 2-4 hours or on low for 4-6 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  4. Remove the chicken from the pot and place it in a separate bowl. Shred or chunk the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Add the shredded chicken back into the slow cooker. Stir in the frozen cheese tortellini and let it cook for about 18-20 minutes or until the pasta is heated through and tender.
  6. Stir in the shredded Parmesan cheese until it melts and combines everything beautifully.
  7. Ladle the creamy tortellini into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley and shaved Parmesan before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like parsley or Italian seasoning. Avoid overcooking the chicken to maintain its tenderness.
